I really liked the term heard the other day – heitriotism. In short, it is hatred of everything the state points out. A purely Russian phenomenon, I think.
I don’t know if there are other countries where people don’t associate themselves with the state so much. Where almost any civil servant is perceived as a personal enemy. Where virtually any initiative by the state immediately provokes a barrage of often unfounded criticism.
And yes – it belongs not only to Russia, but also to the whole post-Soviet, it seems to me. Well, at least I didn’t go down without explaining myself first.
“Cure” is very simple: start noticing the good things that are happening around. Not “oh, they’re wasting money again”, but “super: new asphalt!”
With a good mood and business is easier to do. And the news … the modern journalist is too “effective”, she aims to draw attention to the publication or the author, but not to inform. It is high time to rename Novosti a “pessimist show”.
